DIRECTOR of Production and Development, Waypoint
Josh Rosenbaum serves as the Director of Production & Development at Waypoint Entertainment under founder Ken Kao. While primarily focused on Waypoint, Josh works across all of Kao’s film companies including his international sales agency BLOOM, run by Alex Walton and recently sold to WME|IMG.
Since his start at the company in 2015, Waypoint has financed and produced over a dozen films including Shane Black's THE NICE GUYS, starring Ryan Gosling and Russell Crowe and released by Warner Brothers; Martin Scorsese’s SILENCE, which stars Liam Neeson, Andrew Garfield, and Adam Driver and was released by Paramount Pictures; and Gus Van Sant’s THE SEA OF TREES, starring Matthew McConaughey, Ken Watanabe, and Naomi Watts and released by A24. Josh served as a co-producer on three titles currently in post-production: TAU starring Gary Oldman, Maika Monroe and Ed Skrein; THE OUTSIDER, directed by Martin Zandvliet and starring Jared Leto; and Jonah Hill’s directorial debut MID 90S, starring Katherine Waterson and Lucas Hedges. He was also co-producer on the Telluride and Toronto International Film Festival hit, HOSTILES, directed by Scott Cooper and starring Christian Bale, slated for an awards qualifying release in 2017.
Before joining Waypoint, Josh was an agent trainee at WME working in the motion picture financing and distribution group. Josh is a graduate of the University of Southern California where he received a B.A. in Business Administration and a minor in Music Industry.
